As the name suggests, the shaft straightening press is used for aligning shafts with forces from 500N to 200kN. This is an essential component of the shaft support and clamping mechanism as well as the ease of handling. The shafts can be tensioned in the axial direction, which results in the possibility of being pressed into the shaft at several different points in one working cycle. In the radial direction, the shafts are scanned by means of dial gauges, which can also be fastened along the shaft axis at different positions. The machine is operated by means of a hand lever which is arranged in such a way that the operator has a good overview of the dial gauges and is nevertheless able to control the pressing rams delicately. The type of actuation is analogous to the deflection of the hand lever, the deflection path of the hand lever being opposed to a cylinder lifting movement. Each movement of the hand lever thus results in an equivalent movement of the cylinder, thus giving the operator the feeling of being directly pressed onto the shaft. Shaft straightening presses can be produced in various sizes, the shown shaft straightening press being built for shafts up to 900mm in length.
